This is a print of the original artwork ‘Can You See Me 2’ by Paola Bazz. The edition is limited to 20 and is printed on Klein Imaging Smooth Rag.
Paola Bazz is an Italian artist who resides in Manchester, UK. Born in Padua, Italy, she studied painting and drawing before completing a degree in Architecture at University IUAV in Venice.
Following a passion for drawing and painting, Paola developed her signature creative style. Using paper recycled from newspaper, glued on canvas, cardboard or wood, she is in a consistent state of experimentation with techniques, materials and many varying subjects. The faces of people, the movement of the human body and the relationship between public and private in everyone’s life, are the themes of her painting.
Between 2004 and 2008 Paola took part in various group and solo exhibitions in Padua, Milan and Turin, and in 2005 Paola founded, together with other artists, the group “Gruppo Fuoridisegno”.
In 2008, in search of new artistic solutions and leaving painting as unique form of expression, she began the production of artworks using printed paper recycled from magazines, newspapers and catalogs. This new vein of artistic research developed mainly from 2010 after moving to Brussels, where she found new inspiration in the chaotic succession of images, messages, colors and culture characteristic of the city.
Based in Manchester since early 2012, Paola now looks to further explore the dimension and the power of printed paper, along with issues like the constant and rapid change of our identity and our society.
Authenticating a Paola Bazz print from Klein Editions
Our Certificate of Authenticity system is designed to give you the utmost security and reassurance that you are purchasing a genuine limited edition work of art – reducing the risk of forgery and ensuring that you are buying from an authorised Paola Bazz art dealer.
Each certificate is manufactured by Hahnemühle in Germany, and made of premium deckle edged mould made paper with a Hahnemühle watermark and fluorescent security fibres. A serialised numbered hologram is added. A second, identically numbered, paired hologram is then applied to the reverse side of the artwork. Both certificate and print are signed by the artist, with each serial number recorded with the date and method of production, ensuring that a work can always be traced back to the authorised source.
