‘Pulling The Strings’ is a unique piece, signed by the artist and delivered with a certificate of authenticity from Klein Editions.
Sander Steins (Nijmegen, 6 April 1973) grew up in a working-class family in the village of Berg en Dal, located in the wooded area south of his birthplace. Since a very young age he was interested in art and developed a strong passion first for drawing, then, with the advent of the Internet along with digital technologies, for photography.
Steins’ main artistic obsessions are nature, industrial subjects, technology and women. He is also deeply interested in darker sides of society and mankind. The artist takes a holistic approach towards art media. While all the technological developments of the past decades have made it possible for him to experiment with new digital techniques, he I also still uses traditional methods and materials (such as pencils, paint, graphite, oil pastels and ink). Steins’ blends all these new and traditional media in a wild and expressive way, often by building, destroying and rebuilding, in order to create a unique printwork.
Steins participated in many group exhibitions all over the world, including cities like Berlin (Germany), Paris (France), Los Angeles (USA) and Beijing (China). His work was published in various media, including Cosmopolitan Hong Kong en Advanced Photoshop. His photographic work was nominated several times for the International Color Awards.
Authenticating a Slasky print
Our Certificate of Authenticity system is designed to give you the utmost security and reassurance that you are purchasing a genuine limited edition work of art – reducing the risk of forgery and ensuring that you are buying from an authorised Slasky art dealer.
Each certificate is manufactured by Hahnemühle in Germany, and made of premium deckle edged mould made paper with a Hahnemühle watermark and fluorescent security fibres. A serialised numbered hologram is added. A second, identically numbered, paired hologram is then applied to the reverse side of the artwork. Both certificate and print are signed by the artist, with each serial number recorded with the date and method of production, ensuring that a work can always be traced back to the authorised source.
